Calvin Klein Inc was established in 1968 in New York by Calvin Klein. At first Calvin Klein Limited was a single coat shop which was situated in the York hotel in the centre of New York City. From here Calvin Klein’s signature designs started to be worn by people who are looking for a simple, classic lines that were elegantly tailored.
In 1977 the annual revenue for Calvin Klein was around $30 million and he had secured licences to produce not only clothing but sunglasses, belts, shoes, furs and many more.
After fortunes that were up and down the Calvin Klein brand has established itself as one of the most well-known and well recognised brands in the world, with Calvin Klein jeans being one of the most have items of clothing for people all over the world.
Calvin Klein Fragrances
In 1978 Calvin Klein released Obsession for Women which was to go on to become one of the most classic fragrances in the entire world. In fact Obsession for Women is still on the bestsellers list for fragrances today.
In 1981 Calvin for men was introduced to an excited audience. Both of these fragrances were followed by Eternity and Escape (both for men and women).
However it was not until 1996 when Calvin Klein launched their first unisex fragrance CK One. This was a smash and the sales of this fragrance went through the roof.
Since the launch of CK One Calvin Klein have released Contradiction For Men and Women, Truth for Men and Women and many, many more fragrances. The most recent two additions to Calvin Klein fragrance collection are CK Free for men which was released in 2009 and Beauty for women which was released in 2010.
