Dolce & Gabbana is a name that is very well known in the fashion circles. It is a design house which was created by Domenico Dolce and Stefano Gabbana in Italy. Many of the Dolce and Gabbana clothing ranges have their iconic geometric shapes and many of the lines are black.
In the year 2005 the annual turnover for the Dolce and Gabbana brand was €70 million.
Dolce & Gabbana Fragrances
The first Dolce & Gabbana perfume to be released to the general public was Dolce & Gabbana which was a women’s perfume. This was released in 1994 and was a mixture of orange blossom, carnation, lily and jasmine. In 1998 By was released and this was a much more sweeter scented perfume. In
1999 Dolce & Gabbana decided to release two fragrances, one for women which was called Feminine and one for men which was called Masculine. Once again both of these curfews were very well received by the public and went on to sell in their thousands.
Light Blue was released in 2001 and this was a Mediterranean scented perfume that captures all the fun and excitement of being in a Mediterranean city.
In 2003 Sicily was launched under this was another celebration of the Mediterranean roots of the designers. The One was the next perfume to be released in 2007 and this was aimed at divas everywhere.
The most recent perfumes that Dolce & Gabbana have released are the Anthology Collection. This is a set of five perfumes that there are based on five different tarot cards. The advertising campaign for this collection saw some of the world’s top supermodels such as Claudia Schiffer and Naomi Campbell come together to promote these stunning fragrances.
Other Products
Dolce & Gabbana have two main clothing lines as well and their perfume range. Their clothing range has signature pieces that are classic and timeless, and as a result there are fewer seasonal changes between collections. The other range of clothing is D&G and this is much more relaxed and casual and then doubts and much younger audience.
