One of the most famous of the Elizabeth Arden products is their 8 Hour Cream which can be used for anything from moisturising the skin to treating sunburn.
In fact it is one of the most widely used and known cosmetic products in the world today. Add to this make up ranges, shampoos and bath products and it is clear to see why Elizabeth Arden is a name that is still associated with glamour and style.
Perfume
Elizabeth Arden is very well known for their extensive range of perfumes. Fifth Avenue with its sensual scent and Green Tea with fresh green tea extracts are two of the most popular – however the signature fragrance for the company is Red Door which is still a great seller today and was named after the Elizabeth Arden Red Door Salons that were set up in the USA.
Newer fragrances include Mediterranean a fragrance that captures the aromas of flowers and wood and Provocative Woman which is a floral and very feminine scent.
Elizabeth Arden also own the license to many celebrity fragrances which include Britney Spears perfumes Fantasy, Curious, Curious: In Control, Circus Fantasy, Believe, Curious Heart and Midnight Fantasy. They also own the range of Hiliary Duff’s fragrances, Mariah Carey’s perfumes and Elizabeth Taylor scents. In fact many people are surprised when they learn just how extensive the Elizabeth Arden ranges actually are.
The History of Elizabeth Arden
The Elizabeth Arden cosmetics company was set up back in the early 1900’s by a Canadian business woman called Florence Nightingale Graham. Florence first learned about skincare whilst working for a pharmaceutical company.

After a period in France where she learned more about tinted blushers and other make up products she and went on to introduce beauty gifts and cosmetics to America at a time when only performers traditionally wore make up.
After her death the company was sold to Eli Lilly and Company for $38,000,000 and then on to Faberge for $657,000,000. The company was bought again in 2003 by Unilever who still own it now and still product many of the timeless classics that make the Elizabeth Arden name so synonymous with great taste and quality.
