The fashion designer Ralph Lauren came from a strange background. He initially trained in business science and then went on to the Army before opening his first shop, which was a tiny shop in 1967.
With no real experience in the fashion world it was no wonder that many people thought that Ralph Lauren’s collections would not create much of a stir. However by 1971 Ralph Lauren’s women’s wear was in many stores and many other products were being produced.
Ralph Lauren products are instantly recognisable by their polo player symbol and all product bears this iconic symbol.
Ralph Lauren Fragrances
The first Ralph Lauren fragrances were released in 1978, these were Polo for men and Lauren for women. Both were very well received and made a public keen to discover more fragrances from this fantastic designer.
These were followed by Chaps, Chaps Musk, Monogram, Polo Crest and many more for men and Tuxedo, Ralph, Glamorous and several more for women. All of the Ralph Lauren fragrances stay true to the brand ethos of being stylish yet classy and work to create effortless glamour in anyone who wears them.
Over the years there have been around 30 Ralph Lauren fragrances for men and women. Many of these are still in production although a few of the early fragrances have now been discontinued.
The two most recent fragrances to be released by Ralph Lauren are Polo Red, White and Blue for men which was released in 2009. Romance Always Yours for women was released in 2008 and was once again a great seller.
As Ralph Lauren products and perfumes are so expensive it is likely that there will be a new fragrance hitting the shelves any time soon.
