Born in 1946 the Italian fashion designer Gianni Versace went on to be a very successful fashion designer. He started his career at the age of 22 and he designed a collection that was then sold on Francesca Versace’s clothing store. This led him to secure a position with Florentine Flowers who were a well established clothing designer.
By 1972 Versace had his own line which was called Complice. This was a runaway success and lead Versace on to create many more fashion lines, perfumes, colognes and some amazing accessories. Today the Versace brand is one of the most highly regarded fashion lines in the world and the Versace name is always linked to high quality and luxury.
From here the brand went from strength to strength and the Versace name was still a leader in the world of fashion, as it is today. Gianni Versace was tragically killed by Andrew Cunanan in 1997, cutting short a spectacular life in fashion.
Versace Fragrances
It was not until 1992 that Versace released his first fragrance – Gianni Versace. The fashion world went crazy for this, Versace’s first signature fragrance and several more were to follow through the 1990s and well into the new millennium. These fragrances include: Baby Rose Jeans, Bright Crystal, Red Jeans, White Jeans and Blue Jeans (which are all known for the iconic tin that the perfume bottle is enclosed in), Time to Relax and Time for Energy.
Dreamer was the last of the Versace fragrances to be released before Gianni Versace’s untimely death in 1997. This actually still creates perfumes today and they are new scents constantly in development.
Other Versace Products
Clearly, the most well-known of the Versace products are the Versace collections of clothing. Today it is not just men and women who can wear the Versace brand but children also. Accessories such as the Versace bags are bestsellers and many of the styles are so popular that women wanting to own one have to put on a waiting list. From this it is clear that the Versace brand is still one of the most amazing brands in the world and the public cannot get enough of them.
